Bulls still after Lee

Yahoo! Sports reports the Bulls are still after Lee and are offering a first round pick for the shooting guard.

Houston is willing to deal Lee, but are still insisting that Asik is included in the deal. The Bulls have no desire to trade the rookie.

UPDATE: The Bulls like Lee, but according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, they’re not willing to give up Asik.

Johnson writes: “Coach Tom Thibodeau praised Asik after the game (Wednesday), and management has given no indications it plans to trade him. Although the Bulls have engaged in exploratory talks to upgrade at shooting guard, an Asik-for-Lee swap isn’t likely to happen.”

The Houston Chronicle reported the Bulls have inquired about the availability of Courtney Lee, potentially for Omer Asik, but were turned down by the Rockets.

Alex Kennedy of HOOPSWORLD confirms that Chicago is targeting Lee: “… the Rockets and Bulls have discussed a trade involving Lee. The Bulls have been scouting Lee in recent weeks.”

The Bulls, even though they have Keith Bogans, Kyle Korver and Ronnie Brewer, have been looking to upgrade the shooting guard position for most of the season.
